This was a perfect family & pet friendly restaurant & bar. They have indoor & outdoor seating, picnic tables, corn hole and even brought a water dish for our Obi. The food was great and the drinks were refreshing on a hot Texan summer day! I love places like this! Tell me I sent you and taste the food for yourself, you won’t regret it!
We found this gem on our way from Hill Country to Austin. Amazing find. Highly recommend. Food was delish, Alicia was great, and top shelf margatita was yummy. It's national margarita day, btw. :) I recommend! !
Meet the owner coming out very nice guy! Food was pretty good, the wings are definitely a must try and queso. Kid friendly loved the outdoor seating by the play area, we could watch our little one while he played.
Great spot nestled in the Hill Country. Hay’s City Store & Ice House has that authentic small town Texas feel with big city taste. Excellent selection of frozen drinks and extensive rotating specials menus means you’ll find something new to love with every visit.
Food was awesome! Drew is a ROCKSTAR! Setting is totally cool, however; with so much of it outdoors, the 100+ degree temperatures make it a bit uncomfortable. Live music is a huge bonus and very fun

A hidden gem in Driftwood that is worth the drive. They have excellent service and great food including club sandwich, burgers, chicken fried steak and ribeyes and more. Highly recommend their awesome onion rings to add to any dish. We had their awesome artichoke dip and queso for appetizer. Also we had chicken fried steak, burgers and even a lettuce wrap burger. On the weekends, they have live music outside. They are dog friendly when you sit outside. If it's cold outside, they even have heaters at your table. The service is excellent and friendly. They aim to please. I would recommend making a reservation if it's on the weekend as they can be busy.
I always love a trip to Hays City Store!! They have a great menu selection, indoor and outdoor seating and great drinks as well. My favorite is their Bacon Jam Burger... it is awesome!! Also love their wood fired pizza and chicken fried steak. I've been when they had live music and it was great as well. It's a great little hidden hill country gem!!
We enjoyed the little drive to get to Hays city store. The service was good, fast & friendly. We ordered the chicken fried steak w/jalapeno gravy, bone in fried pork chop, frito pie & and mother clucker. The food was delicious & the portions are shareable. This place did not disappoint. I'm sure we'd be back soon. Oh, do NOT sleep on the jalapeño cream corn!
Was very busy when we got there, which I always use as a key point to judge a place, staff was great and the food was fantastic. Ate in the store because we are suckers for A/C, but I'm sure it would be nice to eat outside when it's a tad cooler.
